Dante is a purebred Labrador Retriever and exhibits the traits common to almost all labs. He’s playful, exuberant, friendly, gentle, easygoing and loves to swim and fetch. Dante, however, is different from other labs in that he’s not overly fond of people. It wouldn’t be such a problem except Dante is very pretty and attracts a great deal of attention. One day, after being swarmed by children in the park and almost knocked over my dog who was backing up and barking furiously, I growled under my breath to my wife, “We are not a mobile petting zoo.” She said I should put that on a t-shirt and an idea was born.
